16th Annual Family Fun Day

 Family Fun Day 2017

It is time once again to celebrate family!

Come out and join me as I host the 16th Annual Family Fun Day at Sweetwater Creek State Park. Over the years we have had thousands of kids and their families to join us on this fun filled day! So come out on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9am-3pm and enjoy a day of food, fun, games, fellowship and fishing!

As with every year we will stock the lake with over 2000 catfish to ensure each child lands a catch!!! So bring your friends and family and join me!

Last year over 1,500 people participated in the Family Fun Day and enjoyed our famous “Fish Fry”! All of this was made possible through generous donors and sponsors. Therefore, I want to take the time out to thank those who have helped over the years. The thousands of children that have participated thank you as well for making this event a huge success.

I appreciate the Friends Of Sweetwater Creek State Park, our original co-host, and I welcome The Georgia Hunting and Fishing Federation as our new co-host. I also want to thank Kroger and Publix for their support of this event over the years. The North Georgia Labor Council, The Boy Scouts, The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Flowers Bakery and Gopher Plantation, Georgia Beverage Association, Dove Mailing, AT&T, Grey Stone Power, Georgia Poultry Association, West Georgia Ambulance and others that have helped to make this event a wonderful experience for the children and seniors that attend.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again on May 20, 2017. If you have any question or know anyone that would like to volunteer or assist with this event please go to www.rogerbruce.net and on the home page under GET INVOLVED click Volunteer for Family Fun Day.  If you are reading this in an email just click here Family Fun Day.  Please feel free to browse the website and look at the photo gallery to see pictures of Family Fun Day events that we hosted in previous years.
